My Rate

I get a lot of phone calls asking me, "What's your bookkeeping rate?" "How much do you charge to do taxes?"

I compare that question to "How much will you charge me to paint my house?" or "How much will you charge me to fence in my yard?"

Just like the house painter who has to see your house to give you a quote or the fence guy who has to measure your yard to see the kind of fence you will need and how many linear feet, I will need to take measure of the type of work that you have.

I do not tell you "my rate" over the phone until I talk to you about your business, your tax return or what you would like me to do.  And remember, even though I charge a comparable rate to most bookkeeping services and CPA firms in the greater Flathead Valley (much less than some locally) - what takes me an hour to do will take some bookkeepers and services three hours to accomplish.

WHY?  I focus on your work and do not have walk-ins, I am not answering emails and I send my phone to voice mail. You are only billed for what I am doing for YOU at that moment.
